This is our first Do it Yourself project in our upcoming Lampshade DIY series. We were waiting for the lockdown to be over, but thought will give it a start with the things available at home.
This is a simple project you can easily make in less than 15 minutes.
All that you need are
- A Pair of lampshade rings (You can buy them here). You can rip off fabric from an exiting lampshade and use the rings from it. Or you can use embroidery hoops, or rings used for making dream catcher.
- Cable ties. Threads, twines or jute can also be used.
- Green Garden Mesh. Available in all local hardware stores for a good Rs.15 to 25 per square foot.
- A small cutting plier
The process in explained in the video below:
You need to give the shade a coat of spray paint to give it a more clean and complete look. Once done you can also don your creative cap and work further on it to give it more bling and life.
Try it out and let us know what you think of this simple DIY project.
